Finally, time to update the blog has come. After a damn hectic week (last week), everything went very well. Alhamdulillah. I bring you the full entry of Nik Ridhwan and Sheila The Reception that was held at Golok (Narathiwat District). Roy from Kapilla (Dikir Rambong) also present during the ceremony and performed 2 songs and the guests really enjoyed the performance. Thanks Puad for the assistance.

Sheila & Nik Ridhwan The Solemnization

The solemnization of Nik Ridhwan and Sheila at Rantau Panjang. The weather was great and we managed to conduct some outdoor portraiture at Sungai Golok (Kolok). Congrates to both Nik and Sheila once again and i really enjoyed my days there while covering the whole ceremony.

What Lighting Equipment that I Use During Outdoor Portraiture?

Some of favourite questions that i got from my email (i maybe unable to reply to the questions one by one through emails, so i just put the answer here yeah), firstly, thanks for the questions.
Most of my portraiture photos are taken using natural light some call available  light. And i only use artificial lights (speedlite, umbrella etc) when i am going to create a particular mood to the photos. How about CLS (creative lighting system)? I seldom ‘play’ with CLS but there would be times and subjects that requires me to apply this kind of lighting.

My conclusion, love shooting in available light.The main reason is i love to capture subject exactly the same at the moment we see the subject and the same lighting condition. My side interest in photography-TRAVEL where i applied this principle, changing the light will surely change the moment, if it is dark or in low light, just try to maintain the original ambient. It will add extra impact anytime you relook at the photos. Appreciate what ever photos you are taking now, and keep learning fast!

Rantau Panjang

Me and Puad took this Mustang to Rantau Panjang. The journey continued to the next district of Kelantan.

After resting and did street shooting in Pasir Mas, we made our way to Rantau Panjang aroung 4pm (Malaysian Time). The journey took around 45 minutes to reach Ani Hotel, where we spent 4 days there. The location of the hotel is just nice and not very far to the Rantau Panjang Town.

For the street shooting in Rantau Panjang, i used my old 350D and 50mm lens to capture the images, moments, freezing the emotions there. The people were kind and friendly, as they were not afraid being photographed. Perhaps, alot of local and foreigners coming the place and did the same thing just like me.

Rantau Panjang, is the place where Southern Thai and Kelantanese (Malay) cultures assimilate. Language, food, people-business-very unique. Here, any kind of merchandises are available, most of them are coming from Thai. I got the chance to try the TOM YAM here, really made my dinner a memorable one in Rantau Panjang. Tried it before at some Thai Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur but the taste totally different as they put too much coconut milk inside the tom yam. Some of my friend did tell me that the real tom yam is cook with coconut milk, but is it that much, i don’t even feel the sour taste. Not to forget, here the bundle shops are everywhere, and I found a BIG E Levis (Japan) for just RM30, just name any brand you want ranging from shoes, jeans, khakis, jackets, boots, helmets, undies, tshirts, shorts,you will find them here.What ever it was, i enjoyed my travel head over heels!

In photography.Me, compared to the big names in photography in local scenes, there is still a lot of rooms of improvement to be fill-up and hope to travel more.
Travelling alot will reshape oneself into the new-fresh-open-minded person. Just because he/she watching,witnessing, learn and understand other cultures and keep relating them to ours. I am not saying any cultures are right or wrong, personally travel will help me to appreciate life and nature much better than I used to be before.

Weddings

I’ll be back with wedding photos and images very soon. Spending days and nights doing editing and images retouching. Just bear with me and STAY TUNE. More to come and I’m bringing them to all of you.
